SLBA Women and Children day visit to Butlins Bognor Regis. This trip is part of a series of summer activities we have set up the Children. Thanks to funding received from Brighton and Hove City Council and Sussex Community Foundation. The children had so much fun, we plan to go there again next year.
SLBA women`s Group have attended their first training session as part of their catering project. They have completed Food Safety Level 2 course this is the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health accredited one day course.This course introduces the main principles of safe food production. The next session will cover European Cookery covering; dishes, techniques and ingredients used within Europe (focusing on the UK). This session will be practical with all of the ladies getting involved in cooking and eating the dishes. They will receive a cerficate at the end of each session. The aim of this catering project to enable women in our community to come together on their own so they can develop a stronger voice and greater involvement in the Association. Running proctical projects will give members of the women`s group a stronger focus and a chance to learn to work together more effectively.
Airtel Sierra Leone, one of the leading mobile telecommunications company in the country, has partnered with the Manchester United Football Club to organise a national gala so as to identify a rising football star aged 17 to attend a coaching clinic in Gabon and Tanzania under the Manchester United Soccer Schools Program.
