The purpose of this organization is to to enhance and improve the wellbeing and quality of life of the Sierra Leone families and individuals in Sussex, while maintaining the cultural heritage of the Sierra Leone community
We have set up a women`s group to enable women in our community to meet and discuss issues that are important to them and play a bigger role in our community.
We have set up a kids club to run a series of activities specifically for the children. This include Music, dance, crafts and sports. The children have been able to exhibit their work at our events.
SLBA Ebola Fund-Raising Appeal:
Sierra Leone Brighton Association is raising money for SOS Children's Villages UK - please support us on JustGiving. You can help us raise money for this great cause by donating directly to our fund-raising page - http://www.justgiving.com/Abdul-yumkella. JustGiving sends your donation straight to SOS Children's Villages UK and automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer, so your donation is worth even more.
This fund-raising is to support the work of SOS Children’s Villages in Sierra Leone specifically, which will involve working with those affected/potentially affected by Ebola, but will also involve the general care of the children.
In addition, we're also holding a fund-raising event @ Moulsecoomb Hall on the 29th of November, 6pm till late. In aid of children affected by the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone. All proceeds will go to support the work of SOS Children’s Villages in Sierra Leone. Tickets are available now @£10 which includes a free buffet. We would be grateful if you are able to come along to support this event.
Alternatively, you can support us by donating prizes for our raffle draw. We will also have some #Ebola T-shirts on sale.
Thank you for your support!
