
SLBA women`s Group have attended their first training session as part of their catering project. They have completed
Food Safety Level 2 course this is the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health accredited one day course.This course introduces the main principles of safe food production. The next session will cover
European Cookery covering; dishes, techniques and ingredients used within Europe (focusing on the UK). This session will be practical with all of the ladies getting involved in cooking and eating the dishes. They will receive a cerficate at the end of each session. The aim of this catering project to enable women in our community to come together on their own so they can develop a stronger voice and greater involvement in the Association. Running proctical projects will give members of the women`s group a stronger focus and a chance to learn to work together more effectively.
